This course is written and taught by practicing CPA, Terry Bakker from the point of view of an actual practitioner.  This course will focus on the Form 706.  With the increasing estate tax exemption at the federal level, the Estate Tax is seen a rare form, but that isn't true when you consider the much lower exemption at the state levels.   You also have to consider the higher federal exemption is due to expire in the next few years, so this course may be a way to prepare for what's to come.  This class will review the challenges in preparing the documentation, calculations, and preparation of the Federal estate tax return, the preparation of the 706 to claim the portability election at the Federal level, and issues of estates that have cross border properties.
