Become an expert in knowledge and practice fo retirement investment taxes, including changes from Secure Act 2.0 legislation. During this course, attendees will learn strategies and methods for investing in an IRA account, including the comparison between different types of retirement accounts and how to withdraw funds from and convert to Roth IRA's. In addition, key learning points will cover navigating the life of your client's IRA funds: where to report rollovers, deductible and nondeductible IRA's, rollovers and transfers, prohibited transactions and investments, general tax planning, and saver's credit.
Building upon the above-mentioned foundational knowlege, TaxSpeaker is indcluding key updates for consideration amid 2025 Tax Act changes affecting all things financial. During this course you'll receive a run-down of the history of IRA's, changes in the last few years, and problem areas such as self-dealing, gold and real estate IRAs. We will also take care to think critically together about future possibilities to prepare for, such as what Roth IRA withdrawals and conversions may look like, as well as whether or not we'll see Roth IRA's becoming taxable.
